KTH Kista is situated north of central Stockholm in one of the world’s most important ICT clusters. Kista has a solid history of development in wireless communication technologies and today it is home to over a thousand companies in the ICT sector.

KTH Campus Plan 2018–2023 is first and foremost a strategic planning tool that specifies the future direction for KTH’s campuses. The plan is created both for the short and long term perspective. The short term perspective covers the current plan- ning period, until 2023. In Kista, which today is the world's second largest Information and Communications Technology cluster after Silicon Valley in California, these divisions were with time integrated with some of the solid state electronics parts that were already located in Kista and through several reorganizations, including the move of a materials theory group from the ITM school and a materials chemistry group from the CBH school to Kista, formed the Materials and Nanophysics department. KTH is a very good university for ICT. It has quite a few campus in Stockholm, ICT research and development is carried out in Kista campus where there are a number of highly qualifed professors, phd students etc working on different research topics and industrial projects.
